Sebastopol Observation & Rally
08/11/2020
Girl Guides in Ballarat have been meeting virtually on Zoom sessions since March of this year. This has been a great way to continue Guiding during the COVID-19 shutdown
…. but we need to get out of the house.
The Sebastopol & Delacombe Girl Guides have organised a family activity that can adhere to social distancing.
Sebastopol Observation & Car Rally
This activity is a big observation game throughout the streets of Sebastopol. You will no doubt drive through parts of Sebastopol you haven’t seen for a long time, or didn’t even know existed.
The rally will include:
- 100+ observation questions throughout Sebastopol
- comparison of current buildings to historical photos
- photo opportunities
You are invited
This event is open to:
- all Guiding families and friends
- anybody who wants to support a Girl Guide fundraiser
- anybody who would like to join in and explore Sebastopol
Complete as many (or as few) of the questions as you like.
Spend several hours completing the entire challenge, or choose a section. (You could even choose to walk a section).
Consider supporting a Sebastopol business by buying your lunch or a snack on the day.
Starting point
Question sheets available for collection at Victory Park between 9:30am and 10:30am for teams that have pre-registered.
Physical distancing needs to apply:
- Team representative to collect the information while team members remain in vehicle
- Face masks to be worn when required
Forms to be handed in by 5pm (drop-off details on question sheet).
Advertising Opportunity
This activity will provide a great opportunity for promotion of local businesses to event participants as they drive through Sebastopol streets seeking the answers to the questions we have prepared.
We invite any local businesses to :
- advertise on our question page (logos will also be used as a challenge)
- participate in the event
- provide old photos of premises
- donate a prize
Registration
Registration for the event is essential so that we can organise printing of sufficient question sheets.
