Guiding in Winter

September 7, 2018

Winter Activities

Welcome to Spring. Once the sun comes out, Guiding activities can once again venture to the outdoors.

In the meantime, Ballarat Guides have enjoyed the Winter months with appropriate indoor activities, such as first aid, Commonwealth Games, t-shirt decorating, developing leadership skills, world Guiding, collecting used glasses, pitching tents, minute-to-win-it challenges,  indoor rock climbing, crafts, a monster night, decorating tiaras for Tiara Day, making armfit fudge, celebrating Icecream Day and trampolining.

Plus

  • the 11th Ballarat Guides made themselves some beanies to keep warm
  • 1st Sebastopol Girl Guides enjoyed a program of decorating Lions Club Christmas cakes.
  • Ballarat Begonia Guides and Delacombe Junior Girl Guides each held pyjama parties
  • Several units acknowledged Environment Day with plant-based activities

There’s always something to do at Guides, regardless of the weather.
