Delacombe Guides turn 36
Delacombe Junior Girl Guides have celebrated their unit birthday at the recently opened Xtreme Bounce venue in Delacombe. 39 Guides (plus Leaders) enjoyed the trampolines, walls, High Jump Air Bag, Battle Beam, dunk rings and Wipeout Challenge.
The Junior Guide unit was originally formed as the 1st Delacombe Brownie Pack in 1982 and caters for 5 to 10 year olds. This has been long enough for:
- previous Guides to have daughters of their own progress through the unit
- previous youth members to become Leaders
The Guides combined their activity with the 1st Sebastopol Girl Guides, a unit containing many girls who enjoyed their earlier Guiding years as members of the younger Delacombe unit.
