Girl Guides attend ANZAC Day services

ANZAC Day services

Girl Guides were well represented at the various ANZAC Day services in Ballarat this year.

In the weeks leading up to ANZAC Day, Unit Leaders spent time discussing the importance of the day with the youth members and explaining the significance of the special annual services.

Some girls attended multiple services, sometimes changing uniform to join with their school in showing respect.

  • Sebastopol ANZAC Day service – Guides carried the Australian flag in the parade and laid a wreath
  • Ballarat ANZAC Day service – Guides marched it the parade and raised the flag
