Emergency Skills

CPR3-DelacombeGuidesThis week, some of our younger Guides spent time learning some emergency skills.  Local paramedic, Sarah,  taught the Guides about making emergency calls, the importance of knowing their current location, which situations might require an emergency call, the recovery position and the basics of DRSABCD.

It was evident that most girls were learning something completely new.  The dummies allowed the girls to practice chest compressions safely.

Our Guides are now equipped with potentially life-saving skills.

The girls also practiced their fire drill routine and escape techniques, and getting down low to crawl underneath smoke.
