2017 Visit from Japanese Girl Guides
We are currently seeking families to host girls from a unit of Japanese Girl Guides visiting Ballarat in 2017. Are you interested in this great experience?

Guides trying new things
Our Guides had a great time playing arcade games, billiards, pinball machines, air hockey, table tennis and karaoke.

Cardboard Classic Train Race
At the Ballarat Show, local Scouts and Girl Guides joined together to participate in the annual Cardboard Classic. They made their own trains and competed in an obstacle course.

Lest We Forget
Local Girl Guides have learnt about Remembrance Day at Ballarat’s iconic Arch of Victory. They learnt all about the Arch and the Avenue of Honour from Bruce Price, a relative of those involved in these projects.

Remembrance Day Poppies
Ballarat Girl Guides have helped the Sebastopol RSL to sell poppies and collect donations in the lead up to Remembrance Day. The RSL provide assistance to those affected by war – particularly widows, orphans, veterans and their families.

World Teacher Day 2016
The Delacombe Junior Girl Guides have celebrated World Teachers Day at their 10th annual “Teachers at Guides Night” where they invited their school teachers to join them at a special Girl Guide activity.

Girl Guides Flying Experience
In the school holidays I flew in a small plane with my Guide friends. We worked on the Air Activities section of the Trefoil 3 Outdoors badge. The Ballarat Aero Club taught us all the different parts of the plane and how they work.
