Water Balloon fight with Scouts and Guides

February 16, 2017

Construction / Destruction in Sebastopol

The annual Scout Construction/Destruction event came early this year. On a beautiful February night, our local Scouts and Girl Guides joined in an activity of friendly fire.

The Guides practiced knotting skills in preparation for building a ballista from ropes and poles. Knotting whilst wearing helmets is a little odd, but necessary as protection from incoming projectiles.

With teams lined up opposite each other, the ballistas were then used to catapult water-bombs at other patrols. It always seems the Guide patrols are positioned directly opposite Scout patrols.

Yes, they got wet.  And hit by exploding water-balloons. That’s why the safety gear was so important.
