Water fight between Scouts and Guides
March 1, 2016
Tonight, on a lovely night in Sebastopol, several patrols of Girl Guides from the Ballarat District participated in the annual Construction/Destruction activity organised by local Scouts.
The first challenge was to build a ballista from ropes and poles using correct knotting skills. The free-standing structure needed to resemble the miniature sample model.
The second section of the activity made use of the ballistas to catapult water-bombs from one side of the arena to the other. Yes, at the teams on the opposite side of field.
The safety helmets protected the Guides and Scouts from injury, but didn’t stop them from getting wet. Some teams more than others.
Guides and Scouts in the Ballarat District often join together to allow as many members as possible to enjoy such activities.
