Begonia Festival Parade

March 12, 2018

This year, Girl Guides from Ballarat walked in the Ballarat Begonia Festival Parade with many other local community groups. The girls wore either Guide uniform, traditional national dress, or a uniform from a sporting organisation of which they are members – emphasising that Guides are well-rounded with diverse interests and backgrounds.

A decorated float represented some of the many activities enjoyed by Guides, including canoeing, camping and campfires.

This was a great opportunity to display the banner that the Guides had previously created as a World Thinking Day activity.

Guides and Leaders volunteered at the “Budding Gardeners Tent” during the long weekend, helping to create herb boxes for visitors to take home.
