Canoeing on Lake Wendouree

Ballarat recently served up a beautiful Thursday evening, allowing the 1st Sebastopol Girl Guides to enjoy a planned evening of canoeing on Lake Wendouree.

Expertly instructed by Guide and Scout Leader Erica Ferguson, the girls were taught about the various parts of the paddle, how to hold it properly, and the correct technique for using it.

They then spent the evening practicing to maneuver the canoes on the lake, and playing some challenge games with rubber ducks.
