Trefoil Promise on Thinking Day

The Ruff Diamond Trefoils made Thinking Day 2021 an extra cause for celebration.
As well as acknowledging World Thinking Day on February 22nd, the Ruff Diamonds used this special date for ten of their founding members to make their Promise. They met for a chatter-filled dinner at Lake View then headed across to Lake Wendouree for the Promise Ceremony.
The plan had been for the Trefoils to make their Promise on the waters edge with a lovely sunset in the background. The reality was a dark, chilly, windy night so the ceremony was brief. It didn’t matter at all.
Nine local members made the Promise whilst Zooming with another member currently residing in Queensland. They also welcomed a brand new member and look forward to another Promise Ceremony for the members who were not able to attend.
The Ruff Diamond Trefoils were formed in 2020 during the Covid lockdown so their activities have included cooking and craft via Zoom as well as face-to-face sessions for meals or gatherings. Membership includes current volunteer Guide Leaders, previous Guide Leaders, Guide mums and others who enjoy the company and activities.
