Guides at 2017 ANZAC Day Services
April 25, 2017
2017 ANZAC Day
Girl Guides from Ballarat units have attended ANZAC Day services throughout the area.
Some Girls and Leaders attended multiple services, and other Guides were present at the services, but joined in with their school or other local service organisations. On a very wet day in Ballarat, we are proud of the girls (and their families) who chose to attend the services and acknowledge the significance of this day.
Some Guides have worked on the syllabus for the special ANZAC badge, Saluting Their Service. This required research and activities to increase the understanding of the sacrifice and service of Australian veterans and the involvement of animals in times of conflict.
We were happy to assist the Sebastopol RSL with the selling of ANZAC badge at a local supermarket during April.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row 0=””][vc_column 0=””][vc_column_text 0=””]
