Spring Scarecrows

Earlier this month, the Sebastopol Girl Guides welcomed the arrival of spring with a fun and creative, hands-on session building their very own scarecrows.

The girls took on the challenge to hammer nails to construct sturdy wooden frames, recycle plastic bags to make heads, and carefully select toddler-sized clothing to bring their scarecrows to life.

Each creation was a unique design. The end result was a cute collection of one-of-a-kind scarecrows, each with its own character, now proudly displayed in backyard gardens to mark the start of spring.
