Assisting the Ballarat Toy Library
September 12, 2024
Over the past two weeks, the 11th Ballarat Girl Guides and the Choc-Chic Ranger Guides have been providing service by volunteering at the Ballarat Toy Library.
The girls processed over 50 new toys, meticulously cataloguing each toy by photographing, packing into suitable containers, and numbering individual pieces so that if parts are lost or found, they can be reunited with their set.
These toys are now available for Ballarat families to borrow, and include a variety of exciting options including:
- dress-up costumes
- telescopes and microscopes
- puzzles
- bee boxes
- science kits
- books
- and musical instruments
The girls were very pleased with with their efforts and proud to have contributed to an activity that will benefit so many children.
Photos include Taylah who packed 85 building blocks of all shapes and sizes into a container.
