Christmas in July

On a Ballarat day almost cold enough for a ‘white Christmas’, our Ruff Diamond Trefoil members celebrated a ‘Christmas in July’ event. Dressed in winter Christmas attire with holiday music playing in the background, they began by decorating the venue, setting the dining table, and putting up the tree. This was followed by a session of chatting and grazing on nibbles.

The remainder of the afternoon included:

• A Christmas trivia quiz, where we learned about traditions from other countries and tried to recall details of Christmas movies and music.
• Making colourful, beaded tree decorations.
• Crafting Christmas tree print templates to create personalised Christmas cards.
• Decoding messages about Christmas facts to decipher the combination to unlock a gift.
• Working together to prepare a delicious roast dinner.

As a service project, the Trefoils filled several boxes with food items to donate to the Soup Bus.
