Did you know that you are one of 10 million Guides in the world?

And several hundreds of those Guides are in the Ballarat District. Mostly, you will participate in activities within your own unit, but quite often we join together to experience Guiding as a larger group.RegionMap2018 CentralHighlands 150

  • The Ballarat District is made up of about 10 Guide Units
  • The Ballarat District is part of the Central Highlands Region (aligned with the Central Highlands local government area)
  • The Central Highlands Region is part of Girl Guides Victoria
  • Girl Guides Victoria is part of Girl Guides Australia
  • Girl Guides Australia is part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts

Activities are organised at all these levels, but you will mostly be involved in District and Region activities.

We are all members of the world’s largest voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women, along with girls from 126 other countries.

In Ballarat we are lucky to have Girl Scouts visit from Japan on a regular basis. We have just enjoyed their visit in 2017 and look forward to continuing this special relationship.
