Hen’s Night

When your Girl Guide Leader is getting married, the only appropriate thing to do is organise a Hen’s Night.

It’s not very often that a unit gets to celebrate the wedding of a Leader, so the Sebastopol and Delacombe Guides made the most of the opportunity by enjoying a range of age-appropriate Hen’s Night activities in the lead up to Jenna’s wedding. The activities included:

• learning to fold paper flowers and making posies
• visiting our hair salon where they styled each others hair ready for the special day with their own named combs
• decorating fingernails
• icing and decorating individual wedding cakes (that didn’t even make it home)
• dressing their Patrol Leaders as flower girls using a variety of white items
• and of course making a wedding gown for Jenna
