Dawn Fischer nominated for Award

Australia Day Awards
Congratulations to Dawn Fischer for being nominated for the 2018 City of Ballarat ‘Australia Day Citizen of the Year’ Award.
The title was given to Peter Caligari, who in his acceptance speech acknowledged that all candidates provide a great service to our local community.
Dawn’s nomination was submitted and supported by members of Lions Club International for the various roles and many hours of work she dedicates to their organisation. This is in addition to the massive amount of work that she has invested in Guiding over more than 35 years (plus some roles in Scouting and other local organisations)
Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony
Members of the 1st Sebastopol Guides were in attendance providing the flag procession (colour party) at the Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony. The Guides greeted guests, handed out Aussie flags and helped Mayor McIntosh with the Citizenship presentations.
