An Exciting Week of Guiding

May 18, 2023

It’s been a very busy week for our Ballarat Girl Guide Units as they hosted special sessions and invited local girls to join in the fun.

Our team of volunteer Leaders organised a series of special nights for girls to visit and experience for themselves some of the activities enjoyed by our Guides.  The result was 3 noisy nights of fun and laughter with a spirit of friendship and adventure.

The activities were coordinated across the Units  with variations based on age group and time restraints.  Collectively, Guides and guests had the opportunity to cook mouthwatering s’mores over flames, mix their own delicious sherbet, make playful pom-pom poppers, construct unique spaghetti towers and play an array of fun games.

It was exciting to see our visitors seamlessly joining in with our Guides, embracing the activities and thoroughly enjoying themselves.  And it was especially rewarding to receive some positive feedback:

“I don’t think there is enough praise given to all the wonderful women in Girl Guiding movement. You all do your best every week all year round”

We are looking forward to our guests returning for another visit next week.
