Today our wombat mascot is actually at the Jamboree site.

On the day before more than 1000 Girl Guides are set to take over Victoria Park at the Kani-Karrung Jamboree, it has been extremely full-on with an early morning start to beat the heat.

The Jamboree organising committee, Guides Vic staff and many local helpers have been erecting tents, putting up gazebos, setting up showers and toilets, sorting lanyards, printing reports … and everything else that goes on in the background to set up a camp of this scale.

Some interstate Guides have arrived from QLD, WA, SA and NSW and will be helping to put up the remaining tents.
