A camp where everyone is gathered to share the Guiding Spirit
This is the theme of the upcoming Australian Jamboree.
In just a few short days, a group of 9 local Guides and 2 Leaders will be travelling to Queensland to join Australia’s International Jamboree.
The Great Bunya Gathering is to be held at Lake Somerset in South East Queensland and will provide the girls with 7 days of fun and friendship.
The Jamboree will include traditional Guiding activities, including pioneering, bush cooking, rope bridges,canoeing, raft building, stringing high ropes, crate building, bush craft, mountain bikes, orienteering and bush walking.
The girls have chosen their own activities and these might include Dreamworld, Australia Zoo, Brisbane City or Southbank.
